Police say Allsopp's motive stemmed from an ongoing dispute over social media. It's unclear what exactly that was but Boston 25 News has learned the FBI is now involved in the investigation.

They tell Boston 25 News, "We've been in contact with the Weymouth Police Department. Beyond that, we’re going to decline further comment."

The victim suffered serious injuries but police say he is expected to recover.

Allsopp was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
