Family of 18-year-old killed in Haverhill releases statement

Bryce Finn

HAVERHILL, Mass. — The family of an 18-year-old man who was shot and killed Tuesday in Haverhill described their son as, "gentle giant, a sweet and kind child."

Bryce Finn answered his front door on Rainbow Drive around 9:30 p.m; whoever knocked shot and killed him, said police. The shooter then fled the scene.

On Saturday, Finn's family released a statement in honor of their son.

"Bryce was a gentle giant, a sweet and kind child who loved and was dearly loved by his family, friends and all who knew him.  Bryce’s passing leaves and enormous hole in our hearts, our family, and our lives.  We respectfully request that we be left to mourn the loss of our wonderful boy in peace."

Police said they do not believe this was a random attack. The family asked that anyone with information contact police.
