East Bridgewater woman held after police chase

WHITMAN (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 25-year-old East Bridgewater woman will remain in police custody for several days after leading police on a chase that spanned several town lines.

Amanda Flores is accused of taking off during a routine traffic stop on Temple Street in Whitman. The car Flores was driving reportedly did not match the car's license plate.

Investigators claim Flores traveled from Abington to Brockton, back to Abington, back to Whitman, into East Bridgewater, and then finally back into Whitman one final time.

Police accuse Flores of sideswiping a car as she was passing it during the chase on Harvard Street in Whitman. The driver of the car was not hurt.

Flores is being held for six days on two prior incidents. Bail for today's chase was set at $100,000.
