BOSTON — Officials have identified the body discovered on the Charles River on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as a 59-year-old Boston man who had previously been reported missing.
The State's Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, but so far authorities do not suspect any foul play is involved.
Boston Fire tells Boston 25 News that the Coast Guard alerted them that a duck boat had found a body in the Charles River near the Longfellow Bridge.
The Marine Unit recovered the body around 11 a.m.
The Suffolk County District Attorney is handling the investigation.
No additional information was released.
