Driver sought in fatal Somerville hit-and-run

SOMERVILLE, Mass. — An older man has died a day after he was hit by a car in Somerville, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Kevin Demont, 68, was hit early Sunday morning around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Route 38 and Shore Drive.

According to Massachusetts State Police, Demont was likely in the crosswalk when he was hit by the car.

He was rushed to the hospital and died a day later, state police said in a release.

Police say they are seeking to identify the car that him Demont.
