Dorchester man arrested for 19 alleged break-ins

BROOKLINE, Mass. — A Dorchester man suspected of 19 break-ins across five communities in Massachusetts has been apprehended, according to an official joint release from law enforcement.

The notice comes from Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan, Medford Chief of Police Jack Buckley, Brookline Chief of Police Andrew Lipson, Quincy Chief of Police Paul Keenan, Watertown Chief of Police Michael Lawn and Acting Arlington Chief of Police Julie Flaherty.

Charges were filed against Jargle Soto-Suazo, 33, of Dorchester on Tuesday for all 19 burglaries, which allegedly took place over the last five months.

The break-in allegations stem from incidents throughout the Greater Boston area, including seven in Quincy, six in Brookline, four in Medford, one in Arlington and one in Watertown.

Police originally arrested Soto-Suazo in Brookline on Thursday, February 7 as the suspect was leaving the scene of another alleged break-in in Brookline.

Law enforcement later executed a search warrant on Soto-Suazo’s home and vehicle, finding numerous items that were reported stolen from homes in multiple nearby communities. The allegedly stolen goods included several watches, small pieces of jewelry, an iPad and a firearm.

Soto-Suazo faces multiple counts of breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit a felony, attempted breaking and entering, possession of burglarious tools and receiving stolen property.

According to a separate release from the Medford Police Department, the suspect faces four counts of unarmed burglary, two counts of larceny over $1,200, two counts of larceny under $1,200, one count of larceny of a firearm, and destruction of property under $1,200. Soto-Suazo is set to be arraigned at Somerville District Court on those charges.

Investigators are also looking into reported burglaries in Belmont and Winchester; the investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is also expected to be arraigned in both Middlesex District Court and Quincy District Court this week.
