Despite inability to work, TJX continues to pay employees in Puerto Rico

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Framingham based TJX is continuing to pay employees in Puerto Rico despite their inability to work.

The company tells Boston 25 News employees of TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods need the help, after the island they call home was devastated by Hurricane Maria in September.

“We believe it is the right thing for us to do under these circumstances,” a spokesperson for the company told Boston 25 News.

More than 60 percent of the island remains without power six weeks after the Category 4 storm made landfall and knocked out power.
