DA: 21-year-old woman charged in death of Westminster man found in NH

WORCESTER, Mass. — An arrest has been made in the apparent murder of a Westminster, Massachusetts man, according the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.

In a news release sent to Boston 25 News Tuesday morning, Worcester County officials said one person had been arraigned in connection to the death of Brandon Chiklis.

Chiklis, who would have been 21, was killed in Ashburnham and taken to New Hampshire -- where his body was dumped -- District Attorney Joe Early said Tuesday afternoon.

Julia Enright, 21, was charged in connection to the death.

According to court documents, Chicklis' phone was last pinged at Enright's home in Ashburnham. This led to a search of her property, which prosecutors say revealed the presence of Chicklis' blood in a tree house, under the tree house, on the stairs to the tree house and in Enright's car.

Investigators say the tree house showed evidence of having recently been cleaned and there was a new rug on the floor.

Chicklis was last seen June 23 when he told his family he was headed to see his father in Windham, New Hampshire an hour away. But Chicklis never arrived.

According to court documents, Enright admits to drinking with Chiklis that day. However, she allegedly told investigators he left to go to the liquor store and never returned.

Five days later, Chiklis’ car was found in a supermarket parking lot in Rindge, New Hampshire.

Finally, on July 10, Chickis’ body was found dumped along Route 119 less than four miles away from his car.

Prosecutors say Enright assaulted and killed Chicklis on June 23.

Enright was held without bail.
