WOBURN, Mass. - A massage therapist sexually assaulted a client during a massage at a clinic in North Reading, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office.
Daniel Feener, 35, has been arraigned on charges of rape and indecent assault, which prosecutors say happened during a massage session at Tai Chi Acupuncture & Wellness Center in North Reading.
The woman, who is not being identified, showed up for her scheduled massage on Monday, October 14. Prosecutors say she requested the therapist focus on her shoulders and back. However, according to the DA's office, the woman said the man began touching her inappropriately and raped her.
The woman later reported the assault to North Reading Police.
Police say they believe Feener may have assaulted other people and are asking anyone else who was a victim to come forward.
Feener is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall with brown hair. He goes by Daniel at work. He completed massage school in 2018 and is licensed with the state of Massachusetts.
Police say they don't know whether Feener has worked at other massage centers aside from Tai Chi Acupuncture & Wellness in North Reading.
Feener was held for a dangerousness hearing.
Police are asking any member of the public who may have been a client of Daniel Feener’s (pictured above), and believe there was inappropriate or indecent behavior while services were being delivered to them, to contact North Reading Police at North Reading Detectives @ 978-357-5067 or 978-657-tips or submit a tip through anonymous text through NRPD.org.
The Tai Chi Acupuncture & Wellness Center sent Boston 25 News the following statement Thursday:
"The safety, care and comfort of our clients is at the core of our business. We were shocked to learn of the arrest of one of our therapists. We are fully cooperating with local law enforcement authorities. As the matter is under investigation, we are unable to provide further details."
