DA: Driver who hit trick-or-treating teen in Revere had suspended license

The man accused of hitting a trick-or-treater in Revere on Halloween night was driving with a suspended license, the Suffolk County DA said.

Wilven Rosirus, the 32-year-old suspect, was driving along the busy rotary on the American Legion Highway at around 8 p.m. when he struck 14-year-old Karima Sarhrani.

Sarhrani, who was crossing the street at the time, remains hospitalized but in stable condition. She suffered pelvic fractures and has some swelling in the brain, according to a family friend.

In court on Friday, prosecutors said that, while Rosirus had been driving with a suspended license, he had the green light and was not on his phone at the time of the crash.

"I just want the girl to hopefully recovery, I just feel bad," said Rosirus.

According to Myriam Felix, the Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney, Rosirus is the one who made the 911 call, saying something to the effect of "I think I killed someone."

Rosirus was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and was released on $250 cash bail.

"I didn't know what happened to be honest with you," said Rosirus. "I'm really sorry."

It is unclear if Rosirus will be facing additional charges, if any.
