WALPOLE, Mass. — A cyclist has been hit and injured by an SUV in Walpole, according to the police department.
Police said the cyclist is a 67-year-old man who has been left with serious injuries.
Sky25 was over the scene at the intersection of Washington Street and South Street Tuesday afternoon. A bike in several pieces was still in the roadway yards in front of an SUV with a smashed windshield. Extensive damage to the hood and windshield of the car included a hole in the windshield.
The cyclist was taken to the hospital in a helicopter for treatment. Police did not immediately have an update on the cyclist's condition.
