City approves transferring liquor license from Doyle's to Davio's

BOSTON — The Boston Licensing Board has approved a request to transfer the liquor license of Doyle's Cafe in Jamaica Plain to Davio's in the Seaport.

The license is being sold for $400,000.

Davio's made the official request to Boston on Wednesday.

Some Doyle's regulars saying limiting the number of liquor licenses in Boston in forcing smaller businesses out of the game.

Doyle's said it expects to close within the next month or so.
