Cat survives nine-story fall from Brookline apartment building

A cat survived after falling nine stories out of an apartment building in Brookline.

The cat, named Simba, took the tumble from the ninth floor of the building, and spent the night badly injured in the cold before his family found him the next day.

Miraculously, the team at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals-Angell Animal Medical Center were able to help repair his broken bones, and they said they can't remember a time a cat fell from nine stories and survived.

Simba is now back at home with his adoring family after the fall, falling one story for each of his lives.
