Broken sprinkler causes partial ceiling collapse at Stoughton TGI Fridays

STOUGHTON, Mass. — A broken sprinkler pipe caused a partial ceiling collapse at the TGI Fridays in Stoughton on Wednesday evening, Fire Chief Michael Laracy told Boston 25 News.

Laracy said the partial collapse happened in the bar area, but didn’t cause any structural damage. No one was hurt.

Building Commissioner Thomas McGrath said his department is monitoring the situation. He expects the restaurant will be able to reopen for lunch on Friday.

The Board of Health is also involved.

Boston 25 News reached out to TGI Fridays for comment.
