Brides Across America giving free wedding dresses to military brides

ANDOVER, Mass. — Attention future brides: If you are in the military or as an emergency responder, or are engaged to one, you can get a free wedding dress through Operation Wedding Gown.

The annual event, organized by Brides Across America, is gifting free wedding gowns to those that serve or brides who are engaged to those that serve through Nov. 17.

A gown giveaway event was held Thursday in Andover. Another event is planned for Nov. 17 at Raymour & Flanigan in Seekonk, Mass.

Participating salons are offering a selection of designer wedding gowns, with some valued up to $6,000. Sizes range from 0-30.
