Family of woman killed outside NH bar files restraining order against boyfriend

MANCHESTER, N.H. — The boyfriend of a woman killed leaving a bar Saturday night has been arrested in New Hampshire, according to Manchester police.

Jeremy Winslow, 34, was scheduled to be in court Thursday for an unrelated domestic violence case from 2016. He was arrested on a warrant for cocaine possessing and driving without a license. And now his girlfriend's family has filed a restraining order against him.

A man accused of killing Winslow's girlfriend, Tanya Hall, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder charges Tuesday.

Police say Tanya Hall was sitting inside a Jeep Saturday night when she was hit and killed by a random gunshot. Police arrested 34-year-old Justin Moura in connection with her death. He was arraigned Tuesday and is being held without bail.

Hall's boyfriend Jeremy Winslow told Boston 25 News earlier this week the couple had been out for dinner and dancing at Club Manchvegas and had just left the club when the shot rang out, shattering his rear window.

Winslow claims one man in a biker gang bumped his chest and another - who Winslow identified as Moura - followed him back onto the dancefloor.

"I saw them come out the door, there was three guys and I said Tanya we gotta go," he said.

He says when they jumped into his Jeep, Moura and others punched the window and then as they began to drive away, a gunshot came through the back window, fatally striking Tanya.

"When I finally realized what was going on, I screamed babe as loud as I can, and she fell down between her legs and there was a bullet hole in her back," said Winslow.

Winslow says he and Hall, the mother of an 18-month-old, had just moved in together and he was planning on proposing to her in the coming weeks.

"I thought I was gonna spend the rest of my life with her and that night I told her I said I'm gonna spend my life with you, and she said, please," said Winslow.

But Hall's family claims that love is bordering on obsession.

They say Winslow has contacted them repeatedly about Tanya and her son Julian. In court records, Hall's mother wrote, "I have been told by my grandson's day care he [Jeremy] would show up and watch him" and that Winslow "plans to ask [Julian's] father to sign over custody."

Days ago, Winslow told us "Her little boy thinks I'm his dad, I mean, he's not my son, but I don't cut him any slack, I love him just the same."

In the restraining order filed by Hall's mother, she says "I am concerned for my safety, my family's safety, more important for my grandson."

Boston 25 News also spoke with Jeremy Winslow's ex-girlfriend who filed a restraining order against him after a date ended in violence.

"Seeing all of this come out and seeing him on the news has really made me sick to my stomach," said Kara Colon, who says she dated Winslow for three months in 2016. "I went to bed, I wasn't feeling well, I had a cold. He ripped me up out of bed by my hair cause I didn't cuddle with him."

Court documents show Winslow pleaded guilty to stalking and domestic violence for "grabbing Colon by the hair and throwing her off a bed" causing a concussion and brain hemorrhage.

It's a story Colon wishes she could have told Hall.

"I feel like if she had known that he was a domestic violence abuser and that he has a criminal record and domestic violence history, she may not have met him and maybe she would still be here today."

Boston 25 News reached out to Winslow but has not been able to reach him. He is expected to be arraigned on the new charges Friday.

The investigation into Hall's death is ongoing.
