Overnight shooting in Dorchester leaves 1 man dead

BOSTON — A death investigation is underway after an overnight shooting left one man dead.

Boston Police were called to the area of 6 Michigan Avenue in Dorchester just after 1:15 a.m. Sunday for shots fired. There, officers found 23-year-old Joshua Hines, of Mattapan, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Hines was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Police are investigating the incident.
