Boston officials investigating after car hits building in Dorchester

Driver slams into Dorchester shopping plaza

BOSTON — A building in Dorchester was evacuated Friday after a vehicle drove into it.

Boston Fire says they were called to 2 Washington Street at the corner of Blue Hill Ave Friday morning for a report of a car into a building.

When Sky25 flew over the scene, two vehicles could be seen up against the building.

The fire chief tells Boston 25 News a woman was making a turn and somehow drove right into the building.

The building was evacuated and utilities were shut off as Boston Fire waited for Boston Police and Inspectional Services to arrive.

Boston Fire says one person was transported to the hospital, but they are OK.
