BOSTON — While everyone else is getting engaged this month, there's good news for the single people in Boston.
WalletHub has named Boston the fifth best city for singles, based on indexes of dating economics, romance and fun and dating opportunities.
Dating economics is based off how expensive it is to eat at a restaurant, buy drinks or see a movie in Boston. Boston ranked 141 on the list out of 150, but it's dating opportunities rank made up for how expensive the city is. Boston ranked number 1 for dating opportunities, which looks at the share of single people, online dating opportunities and most active Tinder users.
For the romance and fun indexes WalletHub evaluated how many restaurants, nightlife, parks and spas are in the city, and Boston came in at number 19.
San Francisco topped the list with an overall score of 70.21. Boston came in at five with a score of 65.58. The very bottom of the list was Brownsville, Texas.
