Boston City Council to review Fenway Park bleacher changes

BOSTON — The Boston City Council is considering design updates for Fenway Park.

Later this week, councilors will look at a plan for a new deck in the bleacher section.

The plan is to remove six rows of bleacher seats to make room for a new deck. It would feature new concession stands and restrooms for people who sit in the bleacher section.

The New Balance sign would have to be moved.

Since the new ownership group took over of the team in 2002, they've spent millions of dollars renovating and adding seats to America's oldest ballpark.

Some of the upgrades include the popular Green Monster seats, the right field roof deck and new high definition video boards.
