Tracking the first Winter Storm of the season 

Our next storm is set to move in Sunday. The first part of the day will stay dry, snow likely arriving during the afternoon.  The storm will stall off our coast and make a mess of Monday, and will have lingering impacts into Tuesday morning.

Most of Mass. is under a WINTER STORM WATCH midday Sunday until Tuesday morning. A WINTER STORM WARNING has been issued for N. Worcester & NW Middlesex Co, the Berkshires & southern VT where the greatest confidence exists for getting at least 8" of snow in a 24 hour period.

 

Worcester man dies 1 day after being shot in own driveway; victim identified

The 19-year-old man who was shot in his own driveway in Worcester has died, city police confirm to Boston 25 News. Law enforcement continues to search for the suspect a day after the incident occurred on Friday afternoon. 

The victim has been identified as Brandon Dirsa, 19, of Worcester. 

 

Tribute exhibit to Worcester 6 opens to the public at Union Station

Tuesday will mark a somber anniversary in Worcester. It will be the 20th anniversary of the cold storage fire that claimed the lives of six firefighters.

Saturday morning, a tribute exhibit featuring each of the brave men lost opened to the public.
