Body pulled from water after boat capsizes in Chatham

CHATHAM, Mass. — A man's body was pulled from the water in Chatham after a boat overturned on Wednesday afternoon.

Chatham Police responded to the Chatham Municipal Fish Pier for reports of an overturned boat.

The Chatham Harbormaster's Office and U.S. Coast Guard crews assisted in the response after a boater said a capsized boat was found floating in the water in the area of the north inlet.

An adult man's body was found in the water and taken back to the Fish Pier. The boat was righted and towed to the Fish Pier by the harbormaster.

Authorities are currently investigating this incident.
