Moreau went missing Friday.

He launched his canoe to go fishing in the morning, and his wife reported him missing when he didn’t return home in the evening, authorities said.

Crews found Moreau’s car parked at a boat launch and his canoe was found in shallow water with his fishing gear inside.

The case remains under investigation.
