Attorney General begins legal process for IndyCar Boston ticket refunds

BOSTON — The Attorney General has announced plans to begin the litigation process against IndyCar Boston about ticket refunds.

The Attorney General has sent “5 day letters” to IndyCar Boston and John Casey that warn them of the legal process.

Previously, IndyCar Boston had been asked to submit a specific plan for how they were going to refund money to customers who had bought tickets to the race before it was canceled.

That plan was never submitted, the Attorney General said.

It’s unclear exactly how many tickets were sold, but the number is believed to be in the thousands.
