Mother in custody, children found in Mass. after Maine Amber Alert issued

SACO, Maine. — A mother is in custody after an Amber Alert was issued for two Maine children who were allegedly taken by the woman on Tuesday, according to the Maine Department of Public Safety.

8-year-old Aleeah Patrock and 6-year-old Vincent Patrock were reported missing from 63 Ferry Road in Saco, according to Maine State Police.

Law enforcement officials said their 27-year-old mother, Alexandra Vincent, took them.

According to the Saco Police Chief Jack Clements, the mother reached out to the department directly after the Amber Alert went out.

Police instructed her to turn herself into the closest police department, which happened to be the Woburn, Massachusetts police station.

“These cases are difficult because it’s involving kids,” said Clements. “We’re happy with the outcome that the kids are safe, they’re fine.”

According to police, officials from Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services had gone to remove the children from her care when upon arrival, they found she had already left with them.

Police told Boston 25 that several people attempted to contact Vincent after the Amber Alert went out.

Vincent will remain in Massachusetts pending an extradition hearing.
