TEWKSBURY, Mass. — A 21-year-old man is facing charges after attempting to carjack a 60-year-old man in Tewksbury, according to police.
Around 10 p.m. Sunday night, police say Jacob Strow walked up to a parked car outside a 7-Eleven on Main street and pointed a gun at the 60-year-old man behind the wheel.
Strow allegedly tried to rob the man and steal his vehicle, but the pair got into a fight that drew the attention of passer-by.
That bystander getting involved caused Strow to run off, police say.
Officers showed up to the scene to find the aftermath, and police say they found Strow not too far away. They say a pellet gun was found in a bush near the scene and say it is the one Strow used to try and rob the man.
Strow, from Wilmington, was arrested and ordered to appear in court Tuesday.
