MAYNARD, Mass. — Update: Maynard police said 86-year-old Betty Thorndike, who was reported missing on Saturday, has been found and is being reunited with family, according to a Facebook post.

An 86-year-old woman who was reported missing on Saturday from Maynard, Massachusetts, was seen in Staten Island, New York on Monday, according to Maynard Police. They are still trying to find her.

They posted an update to their Facebook page reporting that Betty Thorndike was positively identified on Bay Street in Staten Island at 3 a.m. She was seen leaving a Speedway gas station wearing a purple shirt, denim capri pants, converse sneakers and a thin gold necklace.

Maynard Police said that they are working with New York agencies and actively searching for Thorndike.

Police issued a silver alert for her on Saturday. They said she was driving a gray Honda Accord with registration PL401.
