3 firefighters hospitalized after battling blaze in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Mass. — A two-alarm fire in Franklin sent three firefighters to local hospitals for heat exhaustion on Saturday.

The blaze occurred at 38 Emmons St. in the town and caused significant damage to the interior of the structure. No one was home at the time of the fire, which took hours for crews to knock down.

The Fire Chief said the fire was difficult to get to on the third floor. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
