BOSTON — The Boston Fire Department has knocked down a fire in Dorchester.
Boston Fire tweeted Friday morning of a multi-alarm fire at 320 Talbot Avenue in Dorchester. Officials say it is a 3-story, multi-use building with businesses on the ground floor and residential units on the second and third floors.

Fire crews say there were no injuries and everyone was evacuated. Boston Fire says 16 residents have been displaced.
The fire was knocked down before 7:30 a.m. and firefighters are checking for hot spots.
Officials are asking people to avoid the area.

Fire officials estimate approximately $750,000 in damages. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
