A 27-year-old New Bedford woman died from her injuries after a crash in Taunton, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Police say they responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Route 140 southbound prior to Exit 10 in Taunton around 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

When they arrived, troopers found the vehicle down an embankment to the side of the roadway, and they were initially able to speak with the driver, identified as 27-year-old New Bedford native Breanne Cabral.
However, while on scene, Cabral's condition worsened, and first responders decided to call MedFlight to respond to the scene.

Cabral was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where she later succubed to her injuries.
The other 27-year-old woman in the car with Cabral was uninjured in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
