FITCHBURG, Mass. — Police searched for the Fitchburg mother accused of killing her young daughter for more than two hours, 25 Investigates has learned.
25 Investigates has obtained more details about the day the 6-year-old girl was killed and her 9-year-old brother was seriously hurt inside their home.
At 11:58 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, Marvin Brito called 911 about an incident involving his children at the Fitchburg family's home on StoneyBrook Road. The police call log obtained by 25 Investigates shows the original call indicated an infant wasn't breathing and Brito was not at the house, but was heading there.

In the next entry, details became a little clearer.
Brito stated that he was told his daughter, 6-year-old Sophia, was not breathing.
The dispatcher noted Brito "was also having trouble breathing and could not give information clearly."

He told the dispatcher he believed his 9-year-old son and the children's mother Shana were also at the home.
But Shana Pedroso was not.
The next entry is a Be On The Lookout - or BOLO - for Pedroso. It stated she may be armed and dangerous.
The call log indicates police spent more than two hours working to locate her. Five times they pinged Pedroso's phone to a cell tower near High Rock Road. Sky25 was hovering above when police took her into custody along that street.
Sophia was pronounced dead at the hospital. Her brother was badly beaten, but is recovering.

The next day, Wednesday, April 11, Pedroso pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault and battery on a child and reckless endangerment. Brito pleaded not guilty to permitting substantial injury to his two children.
According to the call log, Fitchburg Police responded to the home once prior to the incident involving the children for a report of a small house fire on February 2.
