REVERE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are investigating two separate shootings that injured three people in Revere in less than a 24-hour period.
The first shooting happened at about 2:15 a.m. early Saturday near the beach. Police responded to Revere Beach Boulevard for the report of two people shot. A 33-year-old man and 36-year-old woman sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds and were transported to a Boston hospital.
After a preliminary investigation, police believe a physical altercation started on the sidewalk in front of a nightclub at 320 Revere Beach Blvd. and then shots were fired. Police do not believe that the victims were part of the initial altercation.
Then, at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to Shirley Avenue after a person was found shot in the chest there. The victim was rushed to the hospital, though there was no word on that person's condition.
