Two shot, 19-year-old dead in Dorchester double shooting Saturday night

BOSTON — One man died and another sustained non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Dorchester on Saturday night, Boston Police confirmed to Boston 25 News.

Police received a 911 call at 8:25 p.m. reporting the shooting in the area of 51 Washington Street. Shortly after shots rang out, police flooded the street and the two men were taken to a hospital where one of them died. He has been identified as 19-year-old Treshawn Boyd of Boston.

No arrests have been announced.

A witness who didn’t want to be named said she heard five to seven gunshots and immediately ducked for cover. She said this isn’t the first time she’s witnessed a shooting.
