BOSTON — A man shot during a fight in Revere last week has died from his injuries and two people have been arrested, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

John Brooks, 35, of Dorchester, was shot during a fight on Centennial Street in Revere Thursday night shortly after 7 p.m. He was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he went into surgery. Brooks died Tuesday night.

“My heart goes out to Mr. Brooks’s family and loved ones as they grieve his loss to an act of gun violence,” District Attorney Rachael Rollins said. “I give my word to Mr. Brooks’s family and to the Revere community that we will hold the individuals responsible for his death accountable.”

Nguyen has been held on $50,000 bail and Cardova is expected to be arraigned Thursday.
