17-year-old girl seriously injured in single-car crash in Easton

EASTON, Mass. — A teenage girl sustained serious, life-threatening injuries after crashing her car in Easton on Saturday night.

Easton Police and Fire responded to reports of a car crash into a utility pole on Lincoln Street at around 6:40 p.m.

At the scene, first responders found a Toyota Camry had struck a utility pole, splitting the pole in three places.

The driver, a 17-year-old girl, was alone in the car at the time of the crash. She sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene to transport the girl to a Boston hospital, but had to be canceled due to inclement weather. The teen was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton by ambulance and later transported to Boston Medical Center.

Easton Police continue to investigate the crash.
