20-year-old identified as victim in Dorchester shooting

BOSTON — One person was killed and another injured in a double shooting in Boston late Sunday night, according to police.

Boston Police said two men were shot around 11:10 p.m. near 169 Columbia Rd., in the city's Dorchester neighborhood. One of the men, identified as 20-year-old Christian Nunes of Dorchester, was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to a local hospital with injuries, officials said. The extent of those injuries and the man's updated condition has not been released.

Police spent hours at the scene collecting evidence from the sidewalk area in front of 169 Columbia Rd.

Few details have been released. It's unclear if police have identified any potential suspects.

Police said this is the 21st deadly shooting in Boston this year.
