'Armed and dangerous' man added to state police's most wanted fugitive list

The Massachusetts State Police have added a new name to its most wanted fugitive list.

State Police tell Boston 25 News reporter Bob Ward that 37-year-old Jesse Ouellet, who is wanted for two counts of armed assault to murder, is the latest addition to the most wanted fugitive list.

Police say he's wanted for opening fire on a man he was having a fight with on the streets of Worcester. The shot missed the victim and instead struck another man who was walking down the street.

The incident happened in April on Ward Street in Worcester.

Police say Ouellet has multiple tattoos, and he has convictions for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and trespassing.

He's also been arrested but not convicted in other cases involving firearms.

Based on the latest incident, State Police consider Jesse Ouellet armed and dangerous.

"Just the facts of the case elevate it in my mind. It started as a simple dispute, and it ends up with at least two rounds being fired, and an innocent bystander struck," said Lt. Michael Farley, MSP Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.

State Police are also adding 40-year-old Saeed Ali to the wanted list for attempted murder, and aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police say on July 12, Ali reportedly ran into an ex-girlfriend's family member at a store in West Springfield. When that person later left the store and walked through the parking lot, police say Ali struck him intentionally. He then allegedly backed over the victim before going forward, striking him a third time. Police say the man suffered multiple broken bones, severe lacerations, broken teeth and significant abrasions on his body.

Anyone with information on these suspects should call 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873).
