Golden Globe nominations announced

Some of Hollywood's A-listers will be getting an early morning call thanks to the Golden Globe awards announcement.

The live ceremony was held at Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, Thursday morning. Leslie Mann, Danai Gurira, Terry Crews and Christian Slater will announce the 2019 nominees for television and movies starting at 8:15 a.m. EST, Variety reported.

Golden Globes officials announced a new award, The Cecil B. deMille award for outstanding accomplishment and contributions to television. It is the first special achievement introduced since 1952 and the nominee will be announced leading up to the show.

Idris Elba's daughter, Isan Elba, will be the 2019 Golden Globe ambassador, CBS News reported.
