Daniel Miller anchors Boston 25 Morning News from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. and is a reporter for the later hours of the morning newscast.
Daniel joined Boston 25 in 2015. Before coming to Boston, he was a reporter and weekend anchor at WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana. While there, he covered everything from breaking news to politics. Daniel chased storms on a regular basis in Indiana and developed an expertise for covering severe weather.
Daniel has received numerous awards for his work including an Emmy. In 2010 he investigated a non-profit's controversial treatment of teens with behavioral and development challenges. His work garnered a Journalist of the Year award from the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. In 2006 he was recognized by the Indiana Broadcasters Association for Breaking News Coverage during severe weather.
Daniel began his career as an assignment editor/associate producer at WGHP-TV in High Point, N.C. His next stops were WXLV-TV in Winston-Salem, N.C. and WFMY-TV in Greensboro, N.C. as the evening assignment editor.
Born and raised in Greensboro, N.C., Daniel graduated from High Point University in High Point, N.C. with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He also spent a semester at Westminster College in Oxford England studying British History.
Daniel is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
When he's not working, Daniel's hobbies include anything to do outdoors, reading and traveling. London and Amsterdam are Daniel's favorite places to travel and vacation.
