Woman seriously hurt after pickup truck slams into tree off 93

NEW HAMPTON, N.H. — A driver drove his pickup truck down an embankment and his passenger was pinned inside early Sunday morning in New Hampton, New Hampshire.

Police arrived shortly after 3 a.m. at the scene of the single-car crash on 93 north.

Christian Battle, 44, of Salem, had been driving a pickup truck when he drifted from his lane, drove down an embankment, and hit a tree head-on.

In the passenger seat, Brooke Loughlin, 40, of Salem, was pinned inside and had to be extricated by New Hampton Fire and medical crews. She was brought to Concord Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Battle wasn't hurt in the crash.
