Trial set for June in case of Blackstone mother charged with children's deaths

Erika Murray (Boston 25 News)

BLACKSTONE, Mass. — The Blackstone mother charged with killing two babies and hiding their bodies in her home will go on trial in June.

The story made national headlines back in 2014, when those remains along with the remains of a fetus were discovered in a trash-filled home, just feet from the town's police station.

Police say Erika Murray admitted she gave birth to those babies in the home and hid them from her boyfriend who didn't want any more children.

Four other children also lived in the home, which was full of human waste and dead animals.

Two of those children were allegedly left in cribs for their entire lives and suffered from polio-like symptoms.

Murray's former boyfriend told police he lived in the basement of the home and never knew about the horrifying conditions. He's facing seperate charges.
