Woman dreams she had to swallow engagement ring to keep it safe, did so in real life as she slept

SAN DIEGO — Did you ever have a dream that was so real that you thought it was really happening?

That's what happened to a woman in San Diego.

Jenna Evans said she was having a dream that she and her fiancee were going against, what she said, were "bad guys" on a train. Her fiancee, in the dream, told her to swallow her engagement ring to keep it safe and she did .., not only in the dream ... but as it turned out, in real life, NBC News reported.

"When I woke up and it was not on my hand, I knew exactly where it was. It was in my stomach," Evans told KGTV.

She shared her X-ray showing the 2/4 carat diamond ring in her stomach to Facebook.

The couple went to urgent care for an X-ray and her ring was right where she knew it was, in her stomach. But a gastroenterologist said she shouldn't wait until she passed it, and instead suggested surgery, KGTV reported.

Doctors removed her ring from her intestines, then gave it back to her fiancee for safekeeping. He eventually gave it back to Evans, NBC News reported.

She now takes it off every night as part of her sleep routine. The couple plans to marry in May.
