Somerville Police searching for attempted armed robbery suspect

SOMERVILLE, Mass. — Somerville Police have released surveillance video of a suspected armed bank robbery suspect they're trying to capture.

Police said the suspect brandished a firearm around 9 p.m. Friday when he tried to rob Bostonian Convenience II on Medford Street.

According to police, the suspect pointed a firearm at the clerk and demanded money. He fled the store without receiving cash.

The suspect is described as a white man, between the ages of 17 and 20, thin build and around 5'7" tall. He was last seen wearing a tan Polo Ralph Lauren hat, sunglasses, a white t-shirt, red sweatpants and white Puma sneakers.
