Some Patriots reportedly unhappy with decision to cut Antonio Brown

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The decision to cut Antonio Brown in the face of rape allegations apparently hasn't been positively received throughout the locker room.

According to NFL Networks' Ian Rappaport, not everyone was in favor of cutting the controversial wide receiver.

“Several players privately voiced their displeasure that the move was made, as Brown had made a positive impression on teammates in a short time. He did things in practice no one else could do,” Rapoport wrote Sunday.

Brady was asked about Brown's release during his weekly appearance on WEEI radio Monday morning.

“I have a lot of personal feelings, none of which I really care to share. That's about it.” Brady said. "It’s a difficult situation."

He went on to talk about his experience with a rotating cast of characters over the past 20 years he's been in the league, which notably included Randy Moss and Aaron Hernandez before Brown.

“You try to care for people," Brady said. "You try to provide whatever you think you can to help them reach their highest potential, whatever their situation it is. I’ve had a lot of teammates over the years. You invest not just your head, but your heart. You invest your soul. That is what makes a great team. That is what makes a great brotherhood. I think in the end, that is the endearing trait about sports.”
