A Saugus man was charged after a fatal head-on crash on July 8, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan.
Renan DaSilva was allegedly speeding in Malden last week, and police say he caused the crash that led to the death of 23-year-old Somerville native Jakeuderm Bernadin, a passenger in the second car involved.
The driver of the car Bernadin was in was taken to a local hospital for injuries that aren't deemed to be life-threatening.

DaSilva was charged with motor vehicle homicide and operating under the influence. He is still in the hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash.
His arraignment was moved to Wednesday after originally being scheduled for Tuesday.
