Coffee with Candidates: Sen. Michael Bennet

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Coffee with Candidates is giving our viewers different insight into the people asking for your vote.

The series continues with a conversation with Colorado Senator Michael Bennet. The Democrat filed for the first in the nation primary in New Hampshire recently.

His campaign has struggled in recent months as he has not qualified for the fall debates. But Bennet continues to make the case to Granite State voters, going door-to-door to meet them.

Bennet started his career in the business world. He was later tapped to run Denver Public Schools. He was appointed to the Colorado senate seat in 2009 and has held it ever since.

Bennet chatted with Boston 25 News anchor Kerry Kavanaugh at the Bookery in Manchester about how his parents' origins inspired him to want to help keep the American dream alive. He also believes he’s the candidate most concerned about the next generation.
