Police: Woman shoved to the ground, kicked and robbed by 4 juveniles

BOSTON — Boston Police have arrested four juveniles accused of assaulting and robbing a woman in Roxbury.

On Tuesday night, just after 9 p.m., police were called to a robbery on Parker Street in Roxbury. While on the way to the scene, police say they saw a group of teenagers that matched the description of the suspects who allegedly assaulted and robbed the woman.

The victim told police she was approached by four teenagers, two boys and two girls, while she was walking on Parker Street. She said that one of the boys shoved her to the ground and then three of the juveniles started kicking her in the head and body while the fourth teen filmed it. She said the teens grabbed her phone and then ran off.

Police were able to recover the phone from one of the teens before taking all four of them into custody. Police say they learned the teens may also have been responsible for an earlier assault and battery where they kicked the victim before unsuccessfully trying to steal his backpack.

The teens arrested were a 17-year-old male from Mattapan, a 14-year-old male from Mattapan, a 13-year-old female from Roxbury, and an 11-year-old female from Roxbury. All four will be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court on charges of delinquent to wit, unarmed robbery, and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.
