Police investigating shooting in Revere; 33-year-old man 'severely injured'

REVERE, Mass. — Police say a man was found "severely injured" with a gunshot wound after a shooting on Campbell Avenue Tuesday.

Revere Police responded to a 911 call just after 2 a.m. in the area of 104 Campbell Ave. A 33-year-old man was found inside a house with serious injuries. He was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for emergency surgery, according to a news release from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office.

Suffolk County State Police Detectives and Revere Police Detectives later responded to the scene.

The victim has not been named and his condition is unknown at this time. Police have released few details on the shooting.
