Police identify man run over by bulldozer at Scituate construction site

SCITUATE, Mass. — Police have identified the man killed in a construction accident in Scituate.

The Scituate Police Chief told The Patriot Ledger John Medeiros was working on Sixth Avenue Friday when he knelt down behind a bulldozer. The chief says the driver couldn't see Medeiros -- and backed up over him.

Police say the back up alarm was working on the bulldozer at the time of the incident.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is still investigating.
