Man accused of smashing bottle over bar-goer's head in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A Dedham man was arrested after smashing a bottle over a person’s head during a dispute at a bar, according to Cambridge Police.

Officers arrested Brian Coakley, 25, just after midnight Sunday down the street from the bar on Cambridge Street where the attack happened.

Coakley is charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Boston with severe lacerations to the face.
